POPX Pop Culture Expo 2022 – Vinyl Banners
Pinball Medics was invited to occupy a large vendor's space at POPX, Ottawa's local "geek culture" expo.
In addition to constructing the sculpted themed arch, I conceptualized, wrote, and designed these large-scale vinyl banners.
The aim? To incorporate the anachronisms of the Pinball Medics brand into an event attended by many fans of Dungeons and Dragons and other medieval fantasy.
I went for a skeuomorphic look here to better complement the insanely detailed costumes and props that other vendors and cosplayers bring to these events. Many photo ops were had!
No "pinball wizard" jokes here, that would've been far too easy.

I was commissioned to promote a line of souped-up, Gottlieb-brand pinball machines for Pinball Medics' Montréal division. The request was for an eye-catching illustration, specifically paying homage to the scratchy stylings of Ed Roth's Rat Fink.

It's almost impossible to summarize the entire Pinball Medics/Pinball Medics Montréal/Ottawa Pinball Arcade trifecta in a mere six columns, fit for consumption by the masses. Entertainment, competition, sales, service, restoration...
That did not stop me from making my best attempt when approached.
